Minimum 1-Hour

Service Description

Per Person Hourly Rate: See Pricing Schedule for Discounts. PLEASE READ ABOUT THIS UNIQUE ADVENTURE… You get to decide what this adventure is going to be…from 1-hour to more you will get to experience an airboat adventure at Florida’s Salt Springs Run. It begins at Salt Springs Recreation Area of the Ocala National Forest and travels almost 5 miles to Lake George. The run goes past palms, cypress and southern hardwoods plus sawgrass and wetlands. Wildlife along the spring run include deer, otters, raccoons, alligators, birds, and black bears. From the beginning of the trip, you will be travelling just a few feet from the shore because the airboat likes shallow water so you’ll get the best chance of wildlife. You will also take some side trips into very narrow waterways deep into the marshes that line Salt Springs Run. At the mouth of Salt Springs Run, as it enters Lake George, there is a little island-white sand and palm trees. If your trip is at least 2-hours, you will head South to Silver Glen Run which is a popular destination for boaters which frequently anchor beneath the tall cypress trees, where you might spot a nesting pair of eagles. Most unique are the Manatee in the very shallow, crystal clear water. If your trip is 3-hours or longer you will venture further South to Juniper Creek and Little Juniper creek which are very popular with airboaters…only airboats can get back deep into the creek. You’ll park on a little island and be able to enjoy wading and swimming in the beautiful clean clear water before heading back to Salt Springs. Your journey back will again, run along the shores for more wildlife spotting. PRICING: (See Pricing Schedule for hourly rates and discounts)
